Terms of Service

Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By purchasing, installing, or using Relay ("Relay," "the bot," "we," "us") in a Discord server, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're setting up Relay on behalf of a server, you're confirming you have the authority to do so and that these terms apply to that server's use of the bot.

2. What you're buying

Relay is sold as a one-time, lifetime license: a single payment that grants ongoing use of the bot, with no recurring subscription and no renewal charge. The license covers moderation, welcome automation, audit logging, and utility commands as described on the Relay site at the time of purchase, plus future updates released for the life of the product.

3. License grant

Your payment grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run Relay on servers you own or administer. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to Relay, and you may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the bot's source code or underlying logic.

4. Payment and refunds

Relay is billed once, at the price shown at checkout. Price changes after your purchase don't affect a license you've already bought.

Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase if Relay has not yet been added to a server. Once Relay has been added and used, the purchase is final, except where required otherwise by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Relay to:

We may suspend a license for accounts or servers found violating this section, without refund.

6. Discord platform compliance

Relay operates entirely through Discord's API and is subject to Discord's own Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Developer Terms of Service. By using Relay, you also agree to comply with those Discord policies within your server.

Relay is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. "Discord" and the Discord logo are trademarks of Discord Inc.

Because Relay depends on Discord's platform and API, its features may change if Discord changes how bots are permitted to operate, and we can't guarantee uninterrupted access if Discord suspends, rate-limits, or removes the bot's application for reasons outside our control.

7. Data

Relay stores the minimum data needed to run the features you configure — for example, which channel a welcome message posts to, which role it assigns, or the contents of an audit log entry. We don't sell this data or use it for advertising. Removing Relay from a server does not automatically delete historical audit log data already recorded; you can request deletion by contacting us.

8. Service availability

Relay is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim for reliable uptime but don't guarantee the bot will be available at all times, and we're not liable for downtime caused by Discord's infrastructure, API changes, or events outside our reasonable control.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you violate these terms, without refund. You may stop using Relay at any time by removing it from your server(s).

10. Disclaimer of warranty

Relay is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Relay, including moderation actions taken through the bot, lost data, or server disruption. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use of Relay after a change means you accept the revised terms.
